New England IPA

By Ministry of Beer from South Australia

Generous hopping gives this hazy IPA a big hoppy aroma backed up by tropical fruit flavour. Low bitterness and light malt sweetness keep it easy to drink.

Ministry of Beer is owned and operated by Brett & Dayna Reimann who are locals to the Barossa Region. The business was launched in 2016 by Brett who was a keen home-brewer after he realised his home setup – 200 litre brewhouse and 400 litre fermenters – had reached a scale where he couldn't possibly consume all of the beer himself!

The brewery is found in a shed on a hobby farm in Rosedale, Barossa Valley where we brew all the beers we produce. We also grow some of the hops used in our beers, having around 150 Cascade Hop Bines on the property.

Over the years Brett has developed a range of sour beers and has also established a small barrel program. He is very passionate about brewing sour beers – and about drinking them!

We are a small-scale business with a modest canning line on site and still hand bottling our Sour Beer range. Brewing small batches means we can keep our beer fresh and spend time experimenting with malt, yeast and hops. We are also experimenting with oak barrels, fruit, herbs and various yeast and bacteria.

We hope that we have managed to capture a warm and welcoming environment at our Brewery Cellar Door and that you enjoy your experience trying some more than unusual beers that we have on offer and we thank you for supporting our small family-owned business.
